Wednesday 2/26/25 - How important is it for you to retain your cultural foods as you move forward in life? Explain the importance and which foods you cannot live without.

It is very important for me to retain my cultural foods as I move forward in life. This is because it is an essential aspect of who I am because my culture is a part of me and my heritage. I grew up eating these foods and will forever be familiar with the aroma and feeling of preparing and eating them. I plan to carry on my culture and its foods into adulthood and pass it on eventually when I have kids. Some foods from my culture I don't think I can live without include injera which is a stretchy bread with holes that you eat with various stews and vegetables. Another crucial dish is called kitfo which is essentially ground beef seasoned with spices and vegetables and often eaten with injera. Even if these foods were not to my liking, I would still be bringing them with me as I move forward in life, because I don't want to be the reason a part of culture fizzles out of my family.

Absent this day.
